When we think about self-care, our minds often jump to skincare, exercise, healthy eating or booking a massage.
Rarely do we think about sleep.
At Comoda Collective, we believe that's something worth changing.
In a world that's becoming increasingly focused on wellness and looking after ourselves, sleep is still one of the most overlooked pillars of our health. Yet it's one of the few things that influences almost every part of our day, from how we feel emotionally to how we show up for the people around us.
Our hope has never been to simply create beautiful pyjamas.
We're building a brand that encourages people to slow down, embrace comfort and make rest part of their everyday routine.
Sleep Deserves a Place in the Wellness Conversation
Australia is finally beginning to recognise just how important sleep really is.
The Sleep Health Foundation has called for sleep to be recognised as a national health priority alongside nutrition and physical activity, highlighting its role in supporting our physical health, mental wellbeing and daily performance.
We couldn't agree more!
The reality is, many of us wear being busy as a badge of honour. We answer one last email, scroll for another half an hour or tell ourselves we'll catch up on sleep tomorrow.
But tomorrow comes, and we do it all again.
Your Evening Routine Sets the Tone
We often think good sleep starts when our head hits the pillow.
In reality, it starts long before that.
The way we finish our day has a huge influence on how prepared our mind and body are for sleep. A consistent evening routine helps signal that it's time to slow down, making it easier to unwind after a busy day.
The Sleep Health Foundation recommends creating calming habits before bed, such as limiting screens, keeping a regular bedtime and making time to properly wind down.
For us, those habits don't need to be complicated.
They might look like making a cup of tea.
Reading a few pages of a book.
Taking your makeup off.
Putting your phone away.
Changing into something soft and comfortable.
These small rituals become cues that tell your body the day is done.
Comfort Is Part of the Ritual
This is where Comoda Collective fits in.
Not because we believe a pair of pyjamas can magically improve your sleep.
But because we believe comfort can become part of a routine that supports better rest.
The simple act of changing out of your work clothes and into something soft creates a moment of transition. It's a way of leaving the busyness of the day behind and giving yourself permission to simply be.
Sometimes self-care isn't another thing to add to your to-do list.
Sometimes it's giving yourself permission to stop.
A Gentle Reminder
We're all busy.
There will always be another email to answer, another load of washing to fold or another episode to watch.
But your wellbeing deserves attention too.
At Comoda Collective, we believe investing in comfort is really about investing in yourself.
Because slowing down isn't lazy.
Rest isn't something you have to earn.
And sleep isn't the reward for getting everything done.
It's one of the most important forms of self-care we have.
